Maybe, but not with version 1.0.
This is exactly why Lazarus is open source and not commercial, and why
the developers are hesitant about things as foundations: not to fall
in this trap. 1.0 will be released when it's developers believe it is
ready; Not when there is some external deadline.
I can live with that.....
Having a Foundation isn't a trap..... that is a seriously misleading
statement... or a very great misconception at the very least....
The developers have a pretty good idea of what 1.0 should look like in
terms of functionality and bugfree-ness. As soon as their goals are
fulfilled, 1.0 will be released.
Well that is good.....
What the exact numbers on a given day are rather meaningless anyway...
They have already released something, it is being tested.
It would be far better and wise to attract sponsors to fullfill this
goal.
Right.
This can happen whether the version number is 0.99 or 1.01 or 1.21 or
something else....
We will leave things to keep bubbling away nicely....
Finally some sense. :-)
