Ever considered using fpGUI under OS/2? Currently fpGUI supports X11
& GDI only. In Lazarus there is a very basic fpGUI-LCL widget
interface, but it's a start. Also, porting fpGUI to a new windowing
API is fairly easy if you are familiar with the underlying windowing
API.

My goals for fpGUI this year:
  - Complete the new theme engine which should make it look
native on each platform or customized to the users needs via
a image based theme. This has already been started.
  - Complete the MigLayout manager for DPI independent form
layouts. I've also started this already.
  - Complete fpGUI to the point where I can compile usable
     applications with Lazarus & fpGUI-LCL.
  - Attempt to compile Lazarus using fpGUI-LCL.

I still believe Lazarus will greatly benefit from a custom Free Pascal
based widgetset.
