I have been attempting to reproduce the issue regarding reporting. Would you 
kindly send email me (off list) with your rsync binary and I will see if using 
your particular copy allows me to reproduce the error.

Also, would you kindly confirm which version of Mac OS X Server you are 
running. For example, is it 10.6.4, 10.6.5, 10.6.6?

Again, have you attempted to perform a backup to a new destination file system 
using rsync rather than lbackup and were you able to reproduce the output 
without the out of space warning?

Note, I have also started a thread on the rsync mailing list regarding this 
error to see if anyone else has seen this problem :
