I've tried the same again with a TYPE_RGB_16 -> TYPE_RGB_16 transform. And I was surprised, since LCMS's speed is the same as with 8bpp, or even a little bit faster.
So appearently for 16bpp, the LCMS run times are now as good as Argyll's (which also gave me approx 2.9 Mpixel/s for a 3D->3D, 16bpp transform) ;-) ;-)
