Dear all, I am trying to understand what rendering intent is used during the transformation. Let assume we want to transform from SWOP to sRGB and the PCS is Lab. The transformation should be SWOP -> Lab -> sRGB.
I assumed that the intent from SWOP to Lab was irrelevant (i.e. any intent will produce the same result), because the SWOP is a subset of Lab (Is this right?). However, when I used LCMS to transform from SWOP to Lab I get different results depending the rendering intent. This situation created the following questions: What intent is used from SWOP to Lab? Then what intent is used from Lab to sRGB?
