I understand. We need to wait for the Church
to Open-source MLS, before we can be "Hackers".
Speaking of which, has anyone heard which
license the church will be using ?
I've heard they are chosing between
LDSPL, the Moroni Public License, and a new
one called CLS (Church Licensing System) which
is SLC backwards. Clever, huh?

Perhaps a few articles of Open Source Software
and how they have been useful in church-related
work would be in order. I personally like the
OpenOffice.org 2.0 suite, pdftk, and some
freeware utilities(which I use to compress
readable HTML to a stream the Ward Website
likes. A sed script could do the same thing
but I like-a the GUI.)
Another thing we could do, so another Church
News article can be written about how ldsoss.org
are NOT Hackers, is to get one of you
Utah folks' contacts to get us permission to
turn the PDF forms that are currently spread
throughout the lds.org domain into fill-in
.pdf forms.
Surely, someone on the list is related to
a General Authority, or at least Steve Young.
Some other Utah Urban Ledgends I like:
1) My (Cousin/Uncle/Former Mission Companion)
recently baptized (insert famous person)
2) I went to High School with (General Authority/
or son or granddaughter depending on your age)
3) In my former ward, Donnie Ozmond was my Bishop.
Feel free to add to this list and forward to all your
friends before the next fast sunday. If you don't
everyone will go to the telestial kingdom.
All kidding aside, does anyone know why on Membership
records Mission Info for Stateside missions are
only listed as United States, yet if you serve in
Luxemburg the city will be listed. I mean, you
could fit all of Europe into the United States
many, many times and each mission is listed -
so why don't the records have something like
Idaho, Boise (Farmer-speaking) Mission ?
