I just followed the guidelines in http://www.familysearchdevnet.org/downloads/gedcom/FS-TT1001.doc which said: 1. Each individual and family record in your database should be assigned a UID. Adding a _UID to HEAD or TRLR records makes little sense. Probably not for SUBN either, since there can be only one of them.
