I should clarify that I install only the operating system.  The end
users install the applications.  Ubuntu makes that easy--easier than
InstallAnywhere, in fact.

What I'm saying is that the needs of non-techie Linux users should not
be far behind.  Several in this group have been suggesting there are no
non-techie Linux users, and I have firsthand evidence that that
assumption is wrong.

They're apparently having a little trouble with their release management
procedure.  Releasing software is pretty hard to do correctly.
