We have a good amount of shut-ns in our stake, and the question was
recently
asked "How can we get the sacrement 'meeting' to our shut-ins?". Some
wards
tape it and then take the tape around to the shut-ins. Some just take the
sacrament to them and they never feel like they know what is going on. We
have about 50 shut-ins stake wide.
Anyone out there have a unique way in which they work with this issue?
At least once a month our ward takes the sacrament around to each of them,
and takes with them the Young Man and Young Woman who spoke in sacrament
meeting that month. At each home, one gives a short version of their talk
and the other a testimony and a prayer.
Personally, I don't feel like it is the meeting itself (the content) that
it so important, but rather, it is (1) the ordinance of the sacrament and
(2) feeling the Spirit, that are the most important aspects that should be
provided to each member, shut-ins/homebound and everyone else alike.
