I would agree.  Support from ward leaders is key.

In my stake where members are using an online Home and Visiting Teaching
tool to view assignments and report visits, *some* members use the lds.org
ward website, while *ALL* members (with internet) use the HT/VT site on a
monthly basis to comment on their visits.  Ideally down the road,
something similar gets incorporated into lds.org's ward websites.  Along
with a membership directory that supports personal phone numbers, it would
only make it more useful and another reason for someone to want to
register.
