As a ham operator myself, I've a question for you wireless wizards. 
I've heard that newer cell phones operate somewhere in 2GHz, and now you
mention this.

Seems to me I remember that standing next to a 1+ GHz antenna is likely
to have SERIOUS consequences... like burning a hole in your head ;-)

Or was that 12GHz?

You all can probably tell I don't do any work in the GHz bands :-)
