2.2.19 is more stable, as 2.4 is still being worked out. My last
attempt at compiling 2.4.6 kept ending in failures, which I almost never
ever saw with 2.2. You might wish to hold back or not; it's up to you.

E2B doesn't, but there are LRP-compatable firewalls which might:
shorewall comes to mind.
"Stateful Firewalls" means that rather than rules that say:
* Any connection to a server of type X: allow
* Any reply from a server of type X: allow
You can have rules like:
* Any connection to a server of type X: allow
* Any reply which is part of an established connect of type X: allow
It rules out packets that are fake replies.
I understand 2.4 has better USB support, better PCMCIA, and faster and
more robust TCP/IP stack.
