Sorry Bering 1.0rc3. I have been able to ssh from an intenel machine to
the external ip but whenever I try from the outside I can't get in.
Tried adding the ip address of the machine in hosts.allow no different.
Add the line in rules for shorewall to allow net to fw on port 22

Make sure you have modified the hosts.allow file to allow the box from
where
you are coming from. I believe there are two specific places where you
will
need to modify the files. The first is the hosts.allow file, the second
is
the network.conf file (atleast under dachstein). You will need
external_port0 defined. there is a description within the file.

hope that helped

"Guess", indeed. Probably your firewall ruleset is blocking the
connection.
But that's really a wild guess. Try reporting with the usual details ...
you know, incidentals like which version of LEAF you are asking about,
what
you've tried doing to get it to work, what the failures actually look
like,
whether your logs contain any information about the failures, and the
basics of your setup as outlined in the SR FAQ ... and perhaps somebody
here will be able to help (this applies to your second question as
well).
