OK, so you may have a 2.6 kernel on your PC. 2.6 has its own IPSEC 
implementation which differs dramatically from the *Swan implementation 
on Kernel 2.4. I have no experience with the 2.6 implementation. The 
OpenSwan project provides just configuratin interface in this case.

You should look at your routing tables and probably at some iptables 
settings for your environment.
