The CF card has started working after activating "generic/default *IDE* chipset support (*IDE_GENERIC*)" support in the kernel. I guess this driver doesn't support UDMA, but the "National SCx200 chipset support" or "AMD CS5535 chipset support" drivers didn't work. .... and an other document related to debian on net4501 (http://www.feep.org/weblogs/josh/archives/69-Debian-on-a-Soekris-net4501.html) speaks about an "ide_generic" module that I cannot find on BuC 4.0: ....
