I ran the './build.sh -f' and there were no apparent errors. The image file was created "wisp-dist_1.3.1p34_img.bin"

I dd'd this file to an 8MB CF.

I put this into a Soekris board and it will not boot. the patch 33 version of the .bin file I downloaded boots without trouble.

Any ideas? The patch 34 image does not even show anything on bootup ... as if the boot loader is not even loading.

I have tried this on a RedHat 8 and RH9 system with identical results.

Can I attempt a re-compile of the newer AR5213 drivers with patch 33? ... or preferably fix patch 34.

please advise.

Hi,

Yes, you need to upgrade the driver. Take a look at kernel build scripts
to see how driver is extracted.

If you finish this job, I would welcome your modifications. :)

I purchased some mini-PCI cards made by Ubiquiti networks that use the newer

I installed it onto a Soekris board and the device does not show up.

the wlan and ath_hal modules are loaded but cannot see the card.

I am using the latest image downloaded ( wisp-dist_1.3.1p33_img.bin )

I noticed the madwifi driver is from 2003.

Do I need to update this?. I do have the build environment loaded to
re-compile.

If I need to do this, how do I insert the newer madwifi driver source into
the tree and have it compiled into the wisp-dist image?

Please advise.
