It's a Development List ... no place for corporate agendas.

if adding a feature is a corporate agenda because a company is interested in it working correctly, you are shutting down all development.

The problem is more pervasive than just TR-069.

It's about cross-posting and pushing forwards about who's going to the
corporate sponsored events and other drivel.

Some amount of cross posting is very reasonable. In this case, they are talking about what developers are going to go to this event to coordinate their development work. If they were talking about what CxO folks they were getting together it would be less relevant (but I'll point out that LEDE doesn't have any list to coordinate management/publicity/etc stuff, so it may very well end up here anyway)

If this was a non-profit organizing a similar meeting would you be telling them to go away, that their contributions are not wanted?

These things have little or nothing to do with the PRIMARY reason of a
Development List.

IF these people have something to contribute such as a [PATCH] this
would be correct mailing list...otherwise it's BS

There is more to development than just [PATCH] e-mails.

In this case there are multiple people/companies have code that they are releasing and looking to get integrated, and they want to coordinate instead of fighting each other. This is generally considered a good thing.

Driving people away because they aren't helping in exactly the way that you consider ideal is a good way to kill a project.

Like individuals, companies do things that benefit them. Almost all Open

If benefiting from the results makes it that the LEDE project doesn't want
to hear from you, the project will die _really_ fast.

I hope your hostile attitude doesn't spread.

Just because a company works on something doesn't make it evil.
Yes of course large corporations are well known for altruistic behavior.

Postings to the LEDE Development List should be devoted to technical
development issues.

Persons from prplfoundation et.al should respect conventional mail list
etiquette such as found here :

http://www.arm.linux.org.uk/mailinglists/etiquette.php

Pay particular attention to 4, 7, and 10 on the above etiquitte list.

I see prplfoundation as a hostile takeover of LEDE / OpenWrt by a
corporate conspiracy.

Free Software is meant to be free ...

Free from the manipulation of governments and corporations.

Pushing your corporate backed agenda on the Development List(s)
torques me off every time.
