Hi Mark. I appreciate this and your recommendations. Your version of
autoconf and automake are up to date with ports. glibtool --version is
1.5.22 which is what came with my system. Current version is 2.2.6.
Can your report glibtools --version to me.
Are you 32 or 64 bit on your machine btw and are you ppc or intel.
Will be trying new autoconf perhaps tonight and if that does not work
a new gcc. If you have a macports autoconf, you will also have
macports m4. Essentially you are relying pretty much on macports
software as opposed to you system software for your build.
