Hi Mark. This is what I anticipated. You are using current libtool -
not the stale software apple bundled with the system. I just bought
this a month ago. I am confident it will build with new autoconf. I am
on a mac mini which is 32bit. I am not certain but believe you have to
be on MacPro for 64 bit. Many thanks.
Regards,
David

Hi Mark. I appreciate this and your recommendations. Your version of
autoconf and automake are up to date with ports. glibtool --version
is
1.5.22 which is what came with my system. Current version is 2.2.6.
Can your
report glibtools --version to me.
glibtool - /opt/local/bin/glibtool - ltmain.sh (GNU libtool) 2.2.6
Are you 32 or 64 bit
64, I think. It's an Apr 2007 machine. :blushes:
on your machine btw and are you ppc or intel.
Intel
Will be
trying new autoconf perhaps tonight and if that does not work a new
gcc. If
you have a macports autoconf, you will also have macports m4.
m4 - /usr/bin/m4 - GNU M4 1.4.6
