How to set depreciation?

Dear all,

I brought many living applicants recently and want to set monthly depreciations 
for them.

I put each of those applicants in one assets account, for example

   Assets:Living:Washing Machine
   Assets:Living:Fan
   Assets:Living:Shower

I want to set 5 percent depreciation with the those account.

One problem is I don't know how to set in percent. I only know how to set in 
absolute
number, such as

   ~ Monthly
     Expenses:Living:Depreciation               $30.00
     Assets:Living:Shower

The other problem is I don't know how to set restrictions. For example, the 
depreciation
should be stopped when the relative Assets account coming to zero.

And I want the depreciation starting from next month. Can I do this?
