On my system, ledger automatically figures out whether it needs the pager or not, and doesn't use it if its output is small enough to fit on the screen. Is your system different? Why don't you want to use the pager? I think you'd probably be better off learning to use the pager if you are not familiar with it, rather than trying to turn it off.
