Wow - - - - thank you ever so much for a very simple yet effective solution! As I'm doing all this using a VM its quite easy to set up things so that there is only the one folder which then holds only 2 files - - - the text file (for that year or perhaps two) and this .ledgerrc file. Again - - - I wish you were closer (wherever you are) I would offer you a cider or a black beer but - - - sorry - - - I hope you will accept a hearty 'thanks' instead!
