OK, So PDF printing seems to need the perl modules Template::Latex or possibly Template::Plugin::Latex.
This is provided by the Debian package libtemplate-plugin-latex-perl - but this is not available in squeeze - only wheezy. Also, unfortunately, it is not available in Debian backports either. The INSTALL file says to run: perl Makefile.PL make install but on squeeze these just produce errors and fails. Trying to load the module with: cpan Template::Latex also produces lots of fails. On the positive side - most of LS seems to be working OK now - but the PDF generation is pretty much crucial to how we like to work.
