Exactly. Sam points out the players and the occasions when I have criticised certain players throughout the years . That's easy to do but what about the praise even to the likes of Becchio . One thing I could never have a go at Becchio for is his effort. The reason I have singled him out this season is that he is playing a crucial role up front on his own at times and I don't think he's up to it.
Sam, let's have some match reports from you and some original thoughts on players and tactics instead of getting obsessed by my 'diatribe' On 31 Aug 2010, at 07:31, Jim Moran <j...@jimmoran.co.uk> wrote: The thing I don't understand about Becchio is that (like others before him) he's become a cult hero partly on the basis that he tries hard but isn't that good. There's plenty of worse players at Leeds but they don't seem to attract this hero-like status. I'm not a fan of Becchio, he does have the odd moment where he is brilliant but then so does every player. Perhaps Rich is too far the other way in the "he can do no right" category, but I've seen praise for Becchio in match reports where he's done well, usually along the lines of "he's a limited footballer who struggles at this level but he played ok and got a goal". _______________________________________________ Leedslist mailing list Info and options: http://mailman-new.greennet.org.uk/mailman/listinfo/leedslist To unsubscribe, email leedslist-unsubscr...@gn.apc.org MARCHING ON TOGETHER
