Not sure what SG will do - whether he will even carry out his 'threat' or 'promise' to make wholesale changes. As others have said the biggest change needed is at left back, but with Parker still out, and White not rated at all (and certainly not as a left back) by SG then we are stuck with a real Hobsons choice between Bessone and Hughes. In defence he should realise that Collins and Naylor together are very suspect to any pace and any counter attack and so must drop one and bring in Bruce - he could in theory drop both and play Bruce and Bromby but Bromby seems to be well out of favour. He can, and will fitness allowing, bring in Faye to bolster the midfield but since I cannot see him leaving out Howson or Kilkenny it will be at the expense of Johnson, which, while no bad thing on its own (he is not good enough) may upset the balance of the team with no-one to play wide left. Up front he has got to make sure Somma gets more time on the pitch - that is 3 well taken goals in about 35 mins on the pitch in the League. Personally I would have him on from the start. McCormack looks like he can play a bit but does not look fit enough and needs to lose a few pounds. As Rich said both Sam and Gradel are in and out players - great when on song but inconsistent. Although I thought Higgs did OK - a few good saves and not really at fault for the goals, a lad near me last night was giving him an awful lot of stick and basically blaming the whole performance on him !! >From memory the only 'strange' line up Grayson has ever used was at Oldham >away in the league when Vokes was on his own up front and Prutton and Ephraim >started in midfield, so I have my doubts as to how many changes he will in >fact make but we may line up Higgs Connolly , Collins, Bruce, Bessone (or Hughes) Sam, Faye, Howson, Kilkenny Somma, Becchio Not necessarily the team I would pick but it may be close to what SG will do Dave _______________________________________________ Leedslist mailing list Info and options: http://mailman-new.greennet.org.uk/mailman/listinfo/leedslist To unsubscribe, email [email protected]
