Gradel and
Howson combined to win a penalty. Gradel had a tantrum to get to take
it instead of Becchio, I believe that Gradel has got a bet on with a few lads
that Becchio won't get 10 goals this season.
Seriously though...............this is at least the 2nd time I can recall this
happening recently. Didn't Becchio pull a strop last year and then miss one? I
think this is very poor. There should be a designated penalty taker, end of
argument. Maybe the problem is that a) we get so few pens and b) we chop and
change the team so much.............that it is impossible to pick a spotkick
expert.
I still hanker for the days when if the ref pointed to the spot, Johnny Giles
stepped up and you knew it was another goal for the Whites!
