I agree - we ARE a Championship outfit and that's where we belong for now. It's highly unlikely that we would manage anything if we did make the playoffs. All the possible opponents (except Forest perhaps ) are on form and we are not. Promotion for us would be disaster at this point apart from the short term money to include parachute payments and a brief reminder of what life in the Premiership is like. We still need a team that has half a chance of survival in the top flight before arriving there. I get the feeling that Grayson is perhaps not including himself enough in the current demise. His post match comments often include things like "They were the architects of their own downfall" after the Derby defeat and something like "We keep telling them the same things over and over" after the game yesterday. Managers can't be on the pitch but they are the ones that take / watch training every day, they should know how players are mentally and physically and it's up to them to communicate and organize their teams. I feel that from the way he words things that Grayson is a bit "us and them" with regards to playing staff and backroom staff. C'mon Simon, stand up and be counted in the name of Marching on Together.

Dave
