Firstly you don't know. The business with O'Brian is bloody weird. But let's leave that alone. I do think that when a boss starts fucking around and every one knows both parties there is trouble. He is an authority figure & hopefully a role model. The wilder ones will get wilder & the more puritanical will be disenchanted. It's the seed for discontent. As it seems that ER has cliques anyway this will make it worse. It certainly adds nothing & IMO much more than that.
