Think yourself lucky Ian, I fought with my conscience and lost. I consoled myself by taking snacks and a flask and refusing to by a programme - petty I know. As for the game you missed nowt, we were very sh*te in the first half and just sh*te in the second. We won because Ipswich self-destructed. The goals were something out of keystone cops and we played like a team devoid of heart and spirit - like a team that had just sold its captain but maybe that's a cheap shot. The atmosphere was flat as we all found it hard to get behind the team. Maybe everyone else finds it difficult to seperate the team from Ken - I know I do. Mark asked why do I still go if I hate Bates so much and I struggle to explain it to myself - never mind the wife or anyone else. Performances like today don't make it any easier. That though is where Ken is on a win win. If we keep on going to games we line his pockets, if we stop going he can justifiably highlight falling attendances for the lack of funds. I said earlier that 3500 ST holders is worth £2m. He's already bleating that Grayson is over budget, loss of ST holders will only give him more ammo to cut funding. So do we all follow Mark H and vote with our pockets? Will that make Ken easier or harder to get rid of? Bates isn't just backed by gangsters - read Broken Dreams and you'll see what I mean. http://www.thesquareball.net/brokendreams.pdf _______________________________________________ Leedslist mailing list Info and options: http://mailman.greennet.org.uk/mailman/listinfo/leedslist To unsubscribe, email [email protected] PETE CASS (1962 - 2011) Rest In Peace Mate
