It's the free market, there is a lot to be said for our system. It's not all bad.
However despite views to the contrary on here being owned by Bates is better than what's happened to Portsmouth, Blackburn, Liverpool (hicks and Gilette) Man City (almost with Shinawatra) and of course Ridsdale. There will be a Leeds United as long as he is in charge What will never be accepted in the UK is the US draft system and this false fairness. Traditional rugby league fans aren't content with the licencing system as it is. Natural order means clubs will have their day one way or another. In 30 years my son will be looking back on Bolton in the 4th division calling them a traditional premier league side I do like the German system where clubs are licenced and financial irregularities or clubs unable to meet their commitments are relegated. It would reduce the living beyond their means and maybe a few causalities would lead to a few more fan owned clubs. The conference is I do think it's time a club was allowed to fail in the league as I don't believe anyone thinks it will ever happen. It would be a massive wake up call -----Original Message----- It's worked in many other sports....maybe its about time for football.....different salary caps for the various levels. Yes? No?
