DRB is more the man to ask than me Damian. Fashionable?? Was it ever? I'm still
partial to a bit of foot-stompin, but my back-flipping and spinning days are
long gone! The York Scooter rideout in March every year descends on
Knaresborough every year - literally thousands of bean cans, with old blokes on
them. A spectacle to see, especially the ones that can't get up the hill :-)
Look on Flickr, search for bruvvaleeluv and ysa and you'll see some of my fab
pics!

John's busy polishing his lambretta no doubt, so I'll answer - it never went
away! like any of the youth subcultures in the UK, on any night in most
towns you'll find differnet pubs filled with Punks, Mods, Rockers, Ravers,
Rockabillys, Skins, Suedeheads, even Neo New new Romantics fer fuck sake.
doing what they've always done, and not just sad middle aged people but a
fair smattering of new recruits.  That's one of the many wonderful things
about the UK, cultural ideas don't disappear they just carry on and on and
on and on.  Still don't worry Damian, you've still got Johnny Hallyday as a
cultural icon ;)
