I felt pretty pissed when I heard the team news today. How on earth can you
think about winning a championship match with a midfield of Dallas, Murphy and
Mowatt? It's not going to happen. Apparently Cook was rested because he was
tired after Blackburn, but yet was on the bench, spent most of the game warming
up and was then asked to come on to rescue the game when we were struggling.
There's a bloody break coming up, what was Evans thinking of ?

The tactics were all wrong. Lolley was their best player and gave Taylor a
torrid time. What he needed was a left midfielder to help him out instead he
got Mowatt who gave him
as much assistance as a leg iron. Having a nice left foot is not enough to earn
your living as a championship footballer. Like Mcphail, who masqueraded as a
premiership footballer until he was found out and played his football playing
square balls in the championship, Mowatt might want to consider the conference
? Mind you, why should he when there's a fat bastard manager that wants to play
you as a left winger. Mowatt is so lacking when it comes, to pace, drive,
acceleration and having him in the side just means you need others to do his
leg work.

After 20 minutes of the first half I was quite happy because Town were over
playing / passing so badly at times I thought it was going to be another
Tranmere game when John Barnes insisted his team try and play like Barcelona
and just couldn't. But they did succeed in taking the sting out of the game (
if there was one) and they showed that a patient game can work at this level if
you have a couple of players up front who have a turn of pace and a bit of
skill. In Joe Lolley they have one of the best players in the league IMO.

It was a great move from them that just tore us apart leading to Taylor hacking
lolly down in the box. Blatant penalty.

Nahki Wells is f&cking shit stepped up and hit a half decent pen which
Silvestri saved excellently and then got up to catch the rebound. Great save.

We responded well whilst Town seemed to lose their passing game and began to
shake. In Bridcutt we have a player that plays in the Leeds way, 100% full
blooded commitment with a good deal of awareness and skill. He is a poor man's
Batty but he certainly plays the game in the same way. I'd make him captain and
give him a 5 year contract alongside Lewis Cook.

We started to pressure them, see more of the ball and push forward and then
took the lead through a great break ending with Bridcutt teeing it up for
Dallas to head in unmarked at the back post. Good goal and considering the
start and the team line up I was moderately impressed.

A few people have said we were in control. I think that's stretching it a bit,
yes we saw a lot of the ball but let's be honest, apart from the goal we never
really threatened. I was frustrated to see simple balls played forward over hit
by 10 yards and not hitting their intended destination. Simple footballing
skills beyond the likes of Dallas, Mowatt, Murphy, Bamba , Doukara and
Antennucci. We were never in control of this game.

Town took a while to recover but they gradually got their passing game going
again and started to push forward. They got a corner and we showed our weakness
at defending set pieces again ( Taylor maybe ?) - their captain nicked in and
scored. It was coming and they were well worth 1-1 at half-time.

You also have to take into account they were playing a debutant up front who
edged the excellent Harry Bunn for a starting position. He was rubbish and got
taken off at halftime. A manager realising he had made a mistake doing
something about it. Compare that to fat bastard Evans who waited until 60
minutes to drag the hapless Luke Murphy off and you realise that Wagner has the
qualities to take a team forward whilst Evans appears to be lacking.

The second half is without doubt the worst I've seen for many a year. We were
outclassed and embarrassed by an average Town team that were just highly
organised and instructed to play simple football. The big lad in the middle
with the pineapple on his head is an average , one paced player but today
playing against Mowatt and Murphy he looked like Patrick Viera. He had time on
the ball, he played short intelligent passes and seemed to be everywhere. He
eventfully got taken off before he was sent off.

We crumbled and Town took us apart. When Bunn came on I said to my mate 'he's a
good player this lad' . A few minutes later he volleyed them ahead from yet
another, poorly defended set piece which came from an half arsed , back pass
from Mowatt that put his keeper under pressure. Individual mistakes all over
the park.

We then surrendered ( apart from Bridcutt) and Town gave us a masterclass. They
could have had 6 and to top it off Nahki Wells is fucking shit made one and
scored one. He's got 16 goals this season apparently, he's not shit and he is
twice the player of all the strikers we have at the club and I'd take him
tomorrow.

As for Joe Lolley, Dallas is not in the same class when it comes to wing play.

For the last 15 minutes were just gave in as many of the 29,000 crowd left. I
stayed to the bitter end but I'm not sure why. This performance pissed me off
more than I've been for some time. To be outplayed by Huddersfield fucking Town
at home is a new all time low in my book.

If Cellino is going to invest money ( again) this Summer I'm not sure he is the
man. I would consider offering Wagner the job though.

We had one shot on target in the whole game. Town had 13. Shocking.

Scores-

Silvestri - 5. Good penalty save.

Beradi- 4 Shaky.

Taylor (or Parker) - 2. Taken to the cleaners by Lolley.

Bamba - 1. A big, gangly mess.

Bellusci - 2. All over the shop. Desperate performance.

Murphy - 2. Third division player - have I told you that before ? Watching him
spoon a ball in to touch when not even pressured is just too much. Then two
minutes later, just pulling up and giving the ball to nobody ! He's bloody
rubbish.

Mowatt - 0. Just not up to this level.

Dallas - 2 for the goal, his general play was shocking - 2 over hit crosses
that only need a simple ball into the centre.

Bridcutt - 7. One man band.

Doukara - 5. Decent first half but petered out.

Antenucci- 1. One decent effort that went wide but apart from that he was shite.

Subs - all came on too late.

This was bloody awful.
