...will "the Russians” be based in Panama/The British Virgin Islands?
Pretty much agree with what you’ve said Dave…a non-event brightened only by 3 goals and 3 points. Reading were poor - lost count of how many opposition teams I’ve thought that about this year. Their equaliser to make it 2-2, seemed to me (and my seat looks down that touchline in front of the dug-outs) that what happened after a bit of a dust up sort of challenge, their fella caught the ball in mid-air, he was standing off the pitch but his hands were still in play, I didn’t see the ball cross the line, nor did I see the linesman’s flag - and then he took a throw in, which released their guy down the line, he crossed it…So, in short, I thought it looked like it never went out of play and shouldn’t have been a throw in. As for the “much maligned Wood” - he damn near missed his first one - a free header to a more or less open goal, he still hit the woodwork and had the keeper flapping at it. It obviously crossed the line before the keeper got his hand to it, but bloody hell… Now Diagouara’s header from Berardi’s cross, that was a finish. So Tuesday night will be my last bit of suffering this year, as I can’t make the Charlton game. A win would be nice.
