I am in favour of keeping him on. He does talk to much and contradicts himself.
I hate all the third person 'Steve Evans will ..." stuff and am sick of hearing
how big a club we are: also I sometimes think he has watched a different game
to me in his post match assessments. He has not kept his 'we will not win every
game but we will always try and win it and entertain the fans' promise and he
still does not know his best team or formation. Clearly then I do have some
doubts BUT overall I think, given the circumstances he has done reasonably well
- we are a decent team away from home. The players he has brought in have
improved the team Bridcutt and Diagourara especially and he does have a decent
record, so I would stick with him - give him a full season.
IF we sack him , who will come in and do any better ? Plus , unless you have
pots of money to waste (Man City, Chelsea) the constant changes of manager just
does not work - end up spending all your money on ex managers and players who
the new boss does not play.
Finally re Reading - I did enjoy the game and thought we played some good stuff
but the total lack of atmosphere coupled with the air of 'it really does not
matter today' meant that it was decent but not the five goal thriller that it
would be in a match that mattered. I no longer enjoy football for its artistic
merit and watch virtually nothing on TV - not seen MOTD since we got relegated,
do not watch any european football and fast forward the Championship football
to just watch our game. I will on occasion press the red button on Sky to see
highlights / goals of the game that is on or take a look at the scores but take
away my Leeds stuff and I know very little and care even less about football
(will still watch England on TV) I could not name even half the Leicester or
Spurs teams. Doubt I could name eleven currant scum or Shitty players at
present.I have not even watched the Cup Final or European final for years.
I love going to Leeds (not just for the beer etc) and always listen on radio or
watch us on TV for away games but I am emotionally invested in it, but as
'entertainment football does very little for me

Hi all,
Am I the only one who thinks Evans has done a reasonable job - given the
constant pandemonium around the club - and that not continuing with him would
be harsh?
He's very hard to listen to and they're not playing hoof ball....

Interesting that both Nick and Dave thought the game wasn't so good on
Saturday, I really enjoyed it - whereas I've got a recollection that the last
game I went to (Boro, nil nil) got pretty good reviews on here, but I thought
that game dire :-) The vicissitudes of football supporting eh.
Regarding the 200 quid ST. I'm not convinced that would lead to a full house.
Quality football, married to some success, is what gets people in. If match
day tickets remain the same price, then perhaps a 200 quid ST would be
attractive, as you'd only have to go maybe eight times (category dependant) to
start saving money. But I still don't think a lot of people would buy
one/return, until we start doing better.
