Hmm, John Terry. I can see the argument, aside from he's slow, BUT he's a hideous individual. Not really comparable with Vinnie, although maybe they're more alike now! Someone at this damned club needs to have a vision like Mad Dog did when bringing Strachan and Vinnie in, and sell that to some hard-nosed experienced players. We need attitude and a we will not be beaten spirit!
P.s. My personal shopping list, Howson being a pretty good shout actually, or Craig Gardner from WBA, would be Rickie Lambert, Tim Krul and probably controversially John Terry! Use him like Wilko used Vinnie; To do a single specific job and lead a team. The only thing Glen Hoddle EVER said that was true, is that a winning team needs a spine.
