We lost wood to late to get a proper replacement and ekuban got crocked early on. So he's been a little unlucky, yet we've still scored more goals than last season. You say you've noticed issues and wonder why they haven't, maybe they have and are working on it? In the real football world things sometimes take time to change, for players' mindsets and skill to change/improve.

Playing out from the back is a perfectly laudable strategy and belief but I’m not convinced our players are up to it. As Dr Mike said, we’ve signed a goalkeeper who’s good with the ball but is garbage at actually stopping the ball going in the net. TC correctly replaces him with Lonergan but he’s not as comfortable with the ball (especially when the defenders play it to his right side when he’s under pressure - if I’ve noticed he’s left footed why haven’t they?) or as accurate with his passing. Then there’s the defenders themselves - the number of times Cooper , Pennington or Ayling got caught in possession was ridiculous. We invite pressure on ourselves. Then you’ve got Lasogga who barely wins a header and half the time doesn’t even jump. For someone who’s 6’3” and looks powerfully built, he doesn’t half get bullied off the ball. If you were writing a scouting report on us you’d just say “press high and they’ll either lose possession in a bad area or kick it long and give possession straight back.” We desperately need a forward that actually leads the line properly so kicking it long when under pressure is actually a viable option.
