Can’t add much to that. De Bock was poor for their second goal but apart from
that thought he looked ok.
For me Pennington was our man of the match with Forshaw a close second - shows
what signing players with experience of the division can do.
Apart from that utter rubbish. Before kick off I thought we’d lose 2 or 3 nil,
after the first 10 I thought at least 4 nil.
We simply can’t cope with physical teams. I don’t understand a recruitment
process that involves signing predominantly small players. Apart from the
centre backs only Lasogga offers anything in the air. It makes us too easy to
defend against from set pieces and puts us under pressure every time we defend
a set piece.
The ref will take a lot of heat but he doesn’t make Lasogga miss an open goal
from 5 yards or Alioski scuff a shot from 5 yards either or make Berardi ,
already on a yellow , lunge stupidly at the ball.
I’ve had enough of Roofe. Did a Roofe watch today after thinking I was maybe
being too harsh on him as others think he’s ok. I kept a count of how many
times he did something good versus something bad. When I gave up second half ,
bad was winning 8-3. He can’t control the ball, make simple sense passes or
stop falling over. Pinching a living.
While I think there are serious holes in the squad (centre back for one), this
squad is better than they’ve performed and for that TC has to take full
responsibility. Taking Lasogga off for Sakho was ridiculous - how Roofe stayed
on I don’t know. Him and Alioski were rubbish again.
This season has gone, another one wasted after a good start.
