Well we did usual trick of getting to wigan and being n the pub for 11am we
still managed to miss kick off by 3 mins , mainly due to the taxi being
grdilcoked for ages
with not doing many aways these days I forget quite what an 'invasion' our fans
create in places like this - the first pub we went in rammed with Leeds fans,
ditto the second, whilst outside a 3rd pub all that could beheard was Leeds
fans singing . I like the new(ish) Get-a-no  wo-oh, going to the Premier Legue
song to the tune of Voulez vous by Abba. Pretty much not a Wigan fan in sight
albeit they did cause a bit of fisticuffs when some fans celebratd in their end
when our first went in. It must be soul destroying to follow such a shit team
and club
Fron the off it looked like there would only be one winner as we totally
dominated from first to last, their only chances a couple of free kicks well
saved by Kiko and a couple of scrambled corners. They were struggling to stay
with us and chopped us down a few times bringing yellow cards, one an second
and so a red.
Scary reminders of the last time we played them and their ten men beat us but
not going to happen again. It was just a case , as so often, of can we turn
this dominance into goals and if so how many.
Once again we were profligate in front of goal with Forshaw the main culprit,
lets hope when he does eeventually score it will open the flood gates for him
since he is getting lots of chances this season. One of his misses after an
overhit cross by Harrison was put back in by Klich did hit the post and come
back to Bamford who scored a simple tap in. As Rich said and we commented after
the game, not what he is famous for but with Eddie breathing down his
neck........
We needed a second to wrap it up and Bamford duly obliged - 3 in  3 for the
'useless prick'  another poachers goal as he scrambled in a corner at the near
post
We then kept a clean sheet and so 'job done' time for another beer before I got
the train home, again a pub full of happy Leeds fans
Bring on Wednesday and a rare midweek full house (we are even selling some of
the designated away seats to Leeds fans) and the return of Jansson  not sure
what reception he will get , mainly cheers i would think, but i do reckon he
will either score or get a red, or mayb both, surely he cannot just be quiet
and do nothring ?
