Jeez - what a weekend - just witnessed the Rhinos getting tupped by Ull, and watched the ‘highlights’ of the Wigan game.
It’s all been said hasn’t it - Kiko is a liability, our general play can be amazing, but up front we are both useless and unlucky - not a good combination. And we have an outstanding manager so convinced that the ‘laws of averages’ means things will turn out in the end, so refuses to change! It is the latter, imho, that will finish us this season. Last season was exciting as he blooded Shackleton, Davis, Clarke, but this year we’re back with the seasoned pros who, whilst having achieved amazing things in the last 2 years, have plateaued. In stead of embedding our young uns into a system to take us into the future, he is obsessed with the core squad. I don’t listen to his interviews any more, because he’s starting to sound slightly desperate and crazed. When or even, will, he give a chance to Poveda, Augustin, and for gods sake Edmondson? When will he concede that Kiko is not the future? We have a genuine visionary as a manager, but he can’t see the obvious! What a depressing weekend to be a Leeds fan!
