I have been thinking a lot about Guy since I heard the news and dredging up old memories. He was the person who first got me sitting down at a football match. One game we were in the old Lowfields Road stand when the referee was injured and one of the linesmen took over There was a call for any qualified referees in the crowd to take his place. Guy, with his qualification card in hand, immediately ran off to volunteer but was beaten to the punch.
