I agree from what I have read and what little I have seen, yesterday was
clearly very poor, and I accept we have problems. However can you imagine the
moaning from other managers if they had to start a game with both fullbacks,
the midfield lynchpin,  the top goal scorer, and the best / most creative
player all absent? That is 5 out of 10 outfield players missing,  exactly half
of them
No team could hope to cope easily with that level of absence.( Koch a current
German international also injured)
Yes our problems are exacerbated by the small squad which led to a very young
and inexperienced bench ( the absent for 2 years Forshaw not withstanding)
Things are also made worse by Dallas being out of sorts ( missed an NI game
earlier due to personal reasons)
As one of my T shirts says "LUFC KEEP THE FAITH"
Anyone asking for Bielsa to be replaced  need to get a grip
Get our players back, get a few good results and it will all look much better

 This team is Bielsa.
If it fails we simply go down. No one can get more out of them.
We'd sell and start all over again.
This year not only have players gone backward but no one has progressed from
the under 23s who are not on the fringes before.
I am at a loss as to why or what is happening, plenty of guesses, but why
guess. We will wait and see.
This is Bielsa's show

Subject: [LU] Coach 22

Watching the highlights of a pretty abject performance yesterday, a problem
occurred to me: Bielsa has gotten players like Kalvin and Bamford playing in a
way that no other coach has ever managed. And when the team succeeds it’s
because he’s got them playing in a way that none of our previous coaches ever
have. So for all the problems we’ve got - a small squad, no plan B, a
reluctance to change underperforming players - I wonder if a different coach
would be able to change anything, given the players we’ve got? I mean, Bielsa’s
the coach who turned Luke Ayling into someone people talk about being called up
for England. Is there anyone else who can do that, or would they need to spent
£30m on a new right back?

In other words, if Bielsa is the best manager for this group of players, don’t
we kind of have to just stick with him, at least until we have 11 Raphinhas
available for selection…?

Ed.
