Yep incredible bottle from Raphinha! If anybody didn't listen to Michael Owen afterwards, he said that that technique is definitely the best way to score a pen *if you have the courage to try it. *He said he always used that in training, but whenever it came to a match he bottled it and just decided to stick it in the corner. As Nick pointed out, Raphinha had ages to wait and ponder the importance of the penalty (93rd min.............in front of the kop...........in a game which we HAD to win)............and then the keeper refused to move! What nerve to just drill it past his shins.
On another note..........after Firpo's disastrous first 2 mins (gave the ball away, got his positioning wrong, gave away a dangerous freekick, got booked........all knowing he had to mark the bloke who had shredded Strujk in the 1st half just like Lamptey had shredded him last time)...........he was brilliant! He didn't give Ayew another kick, and made some really good contributions going forward. Oh and League One Liam had a good game..............again.
