I agree; he talks very well, praises the players and the club, acknowledges there’s work to do. Reminds me of how MB came in and said he “didn’t deserve” to be at a club like Leeds. Also worth noting that Jack was at pains to praise “the last manager” as well as the current one - clearly no-one feels it’s a situation where the city needs to be torn down and the land sown with salt.
I still think we’d have been fine without changing; Cooper’s made a real difference to the organisation - Struijk and Llorente are both quiet and having someone to shout at the other players clearly helps, cf. Creswell against Wolves - but I suspect the club would have brought Marsch in the summer, as (as we’ve discussed here) signing year-to-year makes long-term planning very difficult. Ed.
