Really poor today. Tactics again failing us. Everything is played though the middle and has to be 100% accurate or the move breaks down. Harrison is playing centrally and we know if anything his best work is down the wings. We started positively and came out of the blocks fast but that was just initial energy and as soon as that ran out Fulham took control. Fulham are no world beaters but they gave some really decent players and look like a team. We don’t. In Mitrovic they have a big cheating lump up front but he knows where the net is and he isn’t going to refuse the gift we gave him at the near post.Jessie decided to go with Greenwood and Roca in central midfield. I’m assuming Adams was injured. That midfield wouldn’t stand up against Harrogate Town never mind premier league opposition. We were totally overrun by Fulham in midfield. Our goal was a bit of a fluke as a deflected shot ended up on Rodrigo’s head 3 yards out.They scored from a corner and then could have got more as Fulham gad a breakaway one on one chance to take the lead. Good safe from Meslier. Second half we came out strong and were the better team for 29 mins without really threatening. Bamford and Jimmy came in and Bamford missed his chance again. Jimmy got a consolation late on and I’m glad he did cos he looked sharp and there’s no doubt this lad has got something, I’m just not sure Jessie is the manager to get it out of him.
