That should obviously say "any recognisable right back" though with Crainey on the other side, both are applicable!

Played OK, Warner made one outstanding dave, we did bugger all, until Crainley (everything is his fault) win a tackle on half way and played a beautiful ball into Horsfield, and the WBA defender dragged him down. Obvious pen, obvous ending off. Healy, continuing the obvious streak, dragged it wide of the post. Albrechtson, continuing the obvious streak, then headed in WBAs first goal from a needlesly conceded corner. HT 1-0. we brought on Stone for Kelly, thus leaving us without any recognisable left back. So West Brom, noticing this , promptly (well, not that promptly) scored two goals down that wing, including just for Rich, an exquisiste turning inside-out of Kilgallon by Kevin Bloody Phillips. Cheers. At this point, with 7 minutes left and us 3-0 down, the team woke up. Horsfield scored an absolutely cracking goal, turning his marker and slamming it across the keeper, a goal that will be sadly forgotten, then his header was pushed out by the WBA keeper and Stone scuffed it in. Wooh, game on in the 88th minute. Predictably, we fucked it all up and from our 92nd minute corner WBA legged it upfield and Kamara chipped it in for 4-2. Ah, you've got to laugh haven't you? Warner 7 Kelly 7 (why take him off?) Crainey 6 (ridiculed by the travelling support, but did little wrong and certainly was a better crosser of the ball that Lewis, plus a fantastic pass for the penalty) Butler 5 Kilgallon 5 (yeah, yeah, crowd pleasing interceptions, but the players he was marking scored three times) Douglas 4 (hopeless as usual) Nicholls 7 (did well - hope the injury isn't too bad) Derry 7 (can I just say this - Rob Styles recognised EXACTLY when a horrible looking challenge from Derry was just slightly mistimed - and just had a chat - well done.) Lewis 2 (Fucking hopeless) Healy 6 (Tried - no service, shit penalty) Horsfield 7 (caused problems, won the penalty, scored, can't ask much more) Subs Stone 5 (no use at all down the RW, left his marker twice, but scored a goal, hmm) Westlake 7 (had our only two meaningful strikes on goal before the actual goals) Moore 6 (Ran around a bit, caused chaos for the 2nd goal - there were cheers when Lewis went off) Summary - as Matt G said after the game, if you concede 4 goals to 10 men you're doomed - he's right. Hello Division 2 Si C -----Original Message----- From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] Behalf Of John Boocock Sent: 30 September 2006 21:48 To: LEEDS LIST Subject: [LU] Private Eye Article Page 28 Column 3 Private Eye dated 29th Sept 2006 (In The City) WHILE Leeds United chairman Ken Bates has been busy deciding on a new manager after sacking Kevin Blackwell; less noticed has been some odd events at one of the companies involved in the former Chelsea boss's takeover in January last year of the Championship strugglers. Leeds United Football Club was initially a 50 percent shareholder following the Bates takeover. Then, with his inimitable sense of humour, Bates renamed the company Romans Heavies - a not too subtle dig at new Chelsea owner, Roman Abramovich. Despite Bates receiving some £17m of Abramovich's money, sufficient to make it worthwhile moving to Monaco, there is no love lost between the two owners. Romans Heavies then held almost 50 percent in the company that owned the other 50 percent of the Leeds football club. So what is this? On 6 June Romans Heavies was compulsorily wound up by an unnamed creditor who had filed a petition in April. The company is now in liquidation. Bates. resigned as a director in March. The company's main shareholder was last recorded as the mysterious Forward Sports Food, Which gives an address in London but is assumed to be based in Switzerland. Forward made a loan of some £4m to the soccer club last year. Another shareholder was Sports Investments (Leeds) for which notice has been given of a compulsory striking off by Companies House. Just what all this means - if anything - for the ownership of the Championship side remains to be seen. It issued a £4.5m block of new shares a year ago but it is not clear yet as to who bought those shares and so controls the club. The suggestion was Forward. Romans Heavies was said to be left with a 3 percent stake. Doubtless these events are perfectly normal and Bates will as usual reveal all in his own time. _______________________________________________ the Leeds List is an unmoderated mailing list and the list administrators accept no liability for the personal views and opinions of contributors.
