Bates said that if we'd stayed up we'd have gone into admin next week (and so 
started in the Championship on -10 pts).

I don't think there's much doubt he's planned for administration all along - 
but he may well have hoped to avoid it.

Probably space for innumerable theories about the players' displays, Captain 
Clogger in particular. Then there's the Butler thing Bates mentioned - were any 
of the others up to that too? (Who is Wise's "best friend", anyway? I thought 
Bates & Poyet were his only friends.)

We'll probably be playing the Conspiracy game for real soon when the League 
find some trumped up weaselly reason for refusing to approve us coming out of 
administration, thus throwihng us into chaos for 18 months (the maximum time we 
can spend on administration).

Or there's the QPR one. Have you heard the one about how Southend might stay 
up?
