My first home game of the season and my only other game was Bournemouth away, so perhaps a good way to measure the difference between wise & macca.
Was with a mate from Finland who was witnessing his first ever game at ER. He was surprised (as I was) about how we tried to play the game today. There was no hoofing, and while the weather wasn't conducive to pretty play, we did at least try to play and comparatively we are a much better footballing team than the last game I saw. Casper was lucky to get away with a couple of spills, but generally ok. Frazer isn't a left back (where he played today), but bless him although he tried he was found wanting against their best player (17). Poor distribution as well. Our "least best" player. Prutton on the other hand was everywhere & commanding. Killkenny equally tried hard and put himself about. Don't think lubo and rui works too well - they don't seem confident in each other. Our best two central defenders might not make our best defensive pairing, but time will tell. A very enjoyable game, despite getting pissed wet through. Bumped into LASH before the game which was one of those moments you don't forget. Bring on cheltenham for some revenge and the hope of converting a chance or two this time.
