Nothing like reading a reasoned argument ... then ignoring it and harping
on about a statistic eh Nick?
Let's take a good look at his record this season.

Kettering replay - pointless goal after how many missed sitters?
Kettering away. Saved our blushes.
Last league goal - 21st NOV! 2nd of 3 V Brighton
3rd V Grimsby in Tin Pot trophy
3rd of 4 V Yeovil - League 31st Oct
2 of 4 V Bristol Rovers away
Extra Time winner V Norwich
Only goal V Carlisle in 1-1 draw
Last goal of 4 V Gillingham
Winner V Colchester away
2nd of 3 V Tranmere
WInner V Walsall

So what does this tell us? Well Upto Norwich he was bloody important for
us statistically, bagging us 7 points directly from his goals (Although I
hope he sends the Norwich keeper a christmas card cos he did just about
sweet FA for 85 mins uin that game). Other than Kettering away since, he's
done nothing in front of goal of any huge importance. He's disappeared at
Millwall (Again), Liverpool, Charlton (i.e. when we need him most) and
scored 2 league goals since 31st Oct both in games that we won
comfortably. More and more people are beginning to think "Hang on, he's
not performing anymore. Why?"

25-30 goals last season or the season before ... Great, well done. What
good is that to us NOW? That's a great one for the history books, but
right now we need him working for the team AND doing what he's there for.
He ain't doing the latter which is why people are starting to question
him.
You don't bag that many goals without having some talent, but why is he
not turning up now? Has something happened behind the scenes? Has he been
told he's staying here no matter what until the end of the season and
basically taken his bat home? Has he realised no-one is actually going to
come in for him? Whatever it is Nick, he has not performed for 2 months
and that is why some of our fans are effectively saying "Well bollocks to
you, you prima donna".

Do you fancy a fiver on him scoring at Old Trafford?
