A reminder that Parra Politics in the Pub meets the first Tuesday of each

Topic: Genetically Engineered Food - Why the Fuss?
On August 3, our10 Australian and NZ Health Ministers again meet in
Canberra, to consider labelling of GE food. There is considerable concern
that the Health Ministers will back track on the commitment they made in
Dec'98 for full comprehensive labelling and introduce weak and ineffective
labelling regulations. Meanwhile, we are yet to find out the full effects
of Genetically Engineered foods on our health and environment.
