their rights with disastrous consequences for people around the world. The
aim of the Seattle Talks was to expand the WTO's mandate even further,
giving unprecedented new powers to the corporate giants.
The protests against the World Trade Organisation in Seattle provided an
inspiring end to the last millennium.
